Overview

The DevOps Architect plays a critical role in our organization by bridging the gap between development and operations to create a streamlined software delivery process. This position is essential for enabling continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices through modern automation tools and technologies. The DevOps Architect is responsible for designing solutions that allow for quick and efficient software deployment, enhancing system reliability, and ensuring that the applications are scalable and secure. This role also involves mentoring and providing guidance to development teams on best practices in DevOps methodologies. The Architect will work closely with various stakeholders to align system architecture with business objectives, thereby driving both innovation and efficiency within the organization. The DevOps Architect’s skills in cloud infrastructure, automation, and containerization will directly influence our ability to deliver high-quality software solutions on time. By fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, the Architect will help to ensure that our technology stack evolves to meet future demands.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to automate application deployment.
Develop scalable architectures for both on-premises and cloud environments.
Collaborate with development teams to establish DevOps best practices and methodologies.
Integrate CI/CD tools and frameworks within the development lifecycle.
Assess and recommend cloud infrastructure services such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Design and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Automate system configuration, deployment, and monitoring.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
Ensure systems are secure and comply with industry standards.
Provide mentorship and training on DevOps practices to team members.
Monitor application performance and optimize existing infrastructure.
Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships across departments.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies impacting DevOps.
Participate in architectural reviews and suggest enhancements to development processes.
Document best practices, processes, and methodologies for future reference.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development and operations.
Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or similar.
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Experience with container orchestration tools, particularly Kubernetes.
Familiarity with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby.
Solid understanding of networking and security protocols.
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Certifications in DevOps or Cloud technologies are a plus.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Leadership experience in a technical environment is preferred.
