We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our team and help us streamline our operations through robust deployment and infrastructure management.

Job Description:

As a DevOps Engineer at Brihaspathi Technologies, you will be integral to our development and operations process, facilitating collaboration between software development and IT operations teams. Your role will focus on automating and optimizing our processes, maintaining our infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our services.

Responsibilities:

Build and set up new development tools and infrastructure.
Understand the needs of stakeholders and convey this to developers.
Work on ways to automate and improve development and release processes.
Ensure that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats.
Identify technical problems and develop software updates and ‘fixes’.
Work with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
Plan out projects and be involved in project management decisions.
Deploy updates and fixes.
Provide Level 2 technical support.
Develop scripts to automate visualization.
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.

Qualifications:

3 to 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
Proficient with git and git workflows.
Good knowledge of Ruby or Python.
Working knowledge of databases and SQL.
Problem-solving attitude.
Collaborative team spirit.
Strong experience with Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and AWS.
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong command over code deployment tools (Puppet, Ansible, and Chef).
Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) methodologies.
Experience with infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Packer).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field.
