Position Overview:

We’re thrilled to be seeking a Cloud Engineer on behalf of our client based out of the Seattle, WA area. We are seeking candidates who possess the ability to monitor cloud systems, troubleshoot complex issues and improve/automate processes. This is a hybrid role based out of Seattle, WA.

Responsibilities:

Team Coordination and Collaboration: Effectively coordinate and work together with a team of Cloud Operations Engineers responsible for maintaining the company’s commitments to clients.
Development and Process Improvement: Assist in expanding the global Cloud Operations Engineering team by strategically implementing and enhancing new processes and tools.
Incident Analysis and Process Improvement: Support the execution of root cause analysis following incident recovery by identifying any failures in processes or workflows that led to the event, as well as recommending changes to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Application Improvement: Collaborate with product management, cloud engineering, and support teams to pinpoint opportunities for enhancing the management applications that support the infrastructure.
Incident Diagnosis and Resolution: Analyze live incidents to distinguish between platform-related issues and usage-related issues, and determine the appropriate next steps for resolution.

Qualifications:

Technical Experience: Prior experience working with Amazon Web Services and other Cloud infrastructure platforms. Knowledgeable about a wide range of web and internet technologies
Education Requirement: A Computer Science or Computer Engineering degree preferred.
Experience Requirements: A minimum of 2 years of experience as a DevOps, Site Reliability Engineer, or Cloud Operations Engineer.
Database Knowledge: Knowledge of database operations and concepts.
Programming Skills: Ability to create small programs or scripts to address short-term system issues.
Programming Language Proficiency: Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages required: Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript.
