DevOps Engineer Responsibilities
- Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to support development and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and provide support for infrastructure and deployment needs.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Write scripts to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency.
- Assist in the management of cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability and security.
- Participate in the setup and maintenance of containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Help maintain documentation for deployment processes, configurations, and best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest DevOps tools and technologies to improve the development and deployment processes continuously.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and performance.
- Support the team in incident management and root cause analysis to resolve production issues promptly.
What You Will Need
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in DevOps or a related field.
Skills & Competencies
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud services.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) and version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash) and automation tools.
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices.
- Basic knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Strong problem-solving skills and a keen interest in learning new technologies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to take ownership of tasks and deliver quality work with minimal supervision.
