We are seeking a Remote DevOps Engineer to join our centralized DevOps and Cloud team. This role focuses on driving automation, streamlining deployment pipelines, and ensuring the smooth integration of infrastructure and application workflows. As a DevOps Engineer, you will collaborate with development teams, release management, infrastructure IT teams, and business stakeholders to enhance productivity and efficiency through cutting-edge solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines to enable rapid, reliable software delivery using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, and Chef.
- Develop and optimize infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform for scalable cloud environments.
- Script and automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell, Ruby, or Linux Shell scripting to improve efficiency.
- Collaborate on GenAI-focused projects, leveraging tools such as AWS SageMaker, LLM models (e.g., Amazon Q, Sage), and automation frameworks.
- Support and maintain production and non-production applications, ensuring system reliability and performance (70% automation, 30% production support).
- Participate in Agile sprint cycles, monthly planning, and backlog prioritization using Jira.
- Engage in daily hands-on development across infrastructure and application-related tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years in a DevOps or similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (preferred).
Skills
- Proficiency in cloud environments, particularly AWS, and a strong grasp of infrastructure automation with Terraform.
- Strong scripting expertise in PowerShell, Ruby, or Linux Shell scripting.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
- Familiarity with GenAI tools and large language models (LLMs) is a plus.
- AWS or Cloud certifications are highly preferred.
