Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Decatur, TX that is seeking a DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining systems and processes that enable the software engineering team to deliver features to end-users quickly, easily, and with high quality. The DevOps Engineer will also help establish a site reliability engineering (SRE) discipline by designing and implementing robust observability and alerting systems and processes for the Azure-hosted applications and infrastructure. They will work closely with engineers, software architects, and database administrators to identify and prioritize their work. Essential Job Functions:
- Build, test, and deployment automation using Azure Pipelines
- Maintain observability/reliability features in C# and Typescript application code
- Monitor health of product application and related infrastructure
- Support and maintain production cloud infrastructure
- Monitor health of testing environments and development resources in Azure
- Design and implement self-service infrastructure provisioning/decommissioning for temporary application environments
- Design and maintain incident response processes
- Design and maintain robust service health dashboards and alerting schemes
- Negotiate priorities with leaders and other stakeholders
- Address outages and service degradation
- Participate in on-call rotations as needed
Requirements
- 8 years of experience in software engineering work
- 5 years of programming experience in any major language (e.g. C#, Javascript, Typescript, Python, Go, Rust, Java, etc.)
- 3+ years of experience in a DevOps or SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) role
- 2 years experience with either Typescript of C#
- 2 years experience with CloudWatch, Azure Monitoring, Grafana, or similar
- 1-2 years experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM Templates, or similar
- 1 year experience with Docker
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Kubernetes
- Strong background in SaaS product development
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
