Job Summary: The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end process of migrating applications from PCF to OCP. This includes assessment and planning, infrastructure provisioning, application preparation, deployment, and testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.

Job Summary: The DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the end-to-end process of migrating applications from PCF to OCP. This includes assessment and planning, infrastructure provisioning, application preparation, deployment, and testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, Kubernetes, and cloud-native technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assessment and Planning:
- Conduct a thorough inventory of applications and dependencies.
- Evaluate compatibility of existing buildpacks and service bindings with OCP.
- Define the migration path (rehosting, replatforming, or refactoring).
2.Deployment:
- Deploy applications using OpenShift deployment configurations and pipelines.
- Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Tekton, or Argo CD.
- Configure service bindings and ensure seamless integration with services.
3.Testing and Validation:
- Conduct functional, performance, and security testing of migrated applications.
- Implement monitoring and logging using Prometheus, Grafana, and the EFK stack.
- Ensure data integrity and validate application performance post-migration.
4.Post-Migration Support:
- Monitor applications and infrastructure for performance and reliability.
- Address any post-migration issues and optimize configurations.
- Update documentation and provide knowledge transfer to relevant teams.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in DevOps engineering, with a focus on Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Strong knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker) and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash) and version control systems (Git).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and cloud-native design principles.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK stack).
