JOB DESCRIPTION
DevOps Engineer
• Responsible for managing and optimizing the infrastructure that powers way.com platform, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to automate processes, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and ensure smooth deployment across various environments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• The primary goal is to Manage and Optimize the Infrastructure ensuring high availability and Collaborate with Cross-functional teams.
• The use of Cloud platforms such Digital Ocean, AWS, CI/CD Pipeline – Jenkins, Infrastructure as a Code Tools – Terraform, Ansible, Container tools of Docker, Kubernetes will be instrumental in achieving this objective.
PRIMARY SKILLS
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable infrastructure using cloud platforms like Digital Ocean, AWS or Azure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and manage configuration management using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Build, manage, and optimize continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines using **Jenkins**.
• Strong commitment to fostering and working within a DevOps culture, emphasizing automation, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to enhance system performance, deployment processes, and incident response times.
• Monitor system health and performance using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Cloud-specific monitoring tools (e.g., AWS CloudWatch).
• Manage and optimize container orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) to ensure efficient application delivery.
• Implement security best practices across infrastructure, including patch management, vulnerability scanning, and access control.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption to services.
SECONDARY SKILLS (IF ANY)
Experience with serverless architectures and microservices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as ELK Stack, Datadog, or Splunk.
• Knowledge of database management and performance tuning (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or NoSQL).
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
