Job Description
A large telecommunications client is looking for a DevOps Engineer II to join their growing Network Services Integration Engineering team. This position is joining the Lab Operations organization, which is responsible for maintenance of the internal lab. The end customer this group supports are internal employees (development, mobile, voice, network, etc. teams). This individual will be responsible for validation and support of service activation provisioning applications. You will assist in environment monitoring, maintenance, provisioning, and overall management. You will also be responsible for occasional deployments into various different environments, on prem, virtual machine, and cloud. A strong candidate should have a DevOps mindset, understand the basics of the environments they are deploying to and perform basic defect troubleshooting.
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years of experience in IT (System Engineering, DevOps, Software Engineering, etc.)
Experience working in a Linux environment
Experience in an AWS cloud environment
Exposure to DevOps principals (Kubernetes, Jenkins, GitLab)
Experience monitoring, maintaining, and provisioning (wireshark, splunk, datadog) system environments
Networking fundamentals for troubleshooting
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience deploying solutions using Ansible
Telecommunications industry experience
Pay Range: $42-45 / hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
