Role description
A skilled and experienced Cloud DevOps Lead with expertise in Harness, Infrastructure as Code (IAC), Kubernetes, AWS Cloud Services, and Database management. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS cloud and DevOps practices, with a hands-on approach to technical leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
- Utilize Harness, IAC (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), Kubernetes, and AWS services to drive automation, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project management.
- Provide mentorship and coaching to junior team members, fostering their growth and continuous learning in cloud and DevOps practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues, applying strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Continuously evaluate and improve cloud infrastructure, tooling, and processes to optimize performance and cost efficiency.
- Foster a culture of accountability and attention to detail within the team.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, etc.).
- Proficiency in DevOps practices and tools such as CI/CD, Automation,
- Expertise in Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Strong experience in Infrastructure as Code (IAC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with Harness for CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders.
- Proven experience in technical leadership, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and fostering team growth.
- Scripting & Automation: Proficient in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Go for task automation and problem-solving.
- Monitoring & Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, or Datadog.
- Security Best Practices: Knowledge of security practices for cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, including IAM, encryption, and network security.
- Experience with Microservices: Knowledge of microservices architectures, service mesh (e.g., Istio), and API gateways.
- Additional Tools: Experience with other CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI) is a plus.
Certifications:AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, or AWS Certified Developer.
