Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Cloud Engineer responsible for the implementation, support and maintainance of cloud infrastructure, servers, backups, virtual systems, and Active Directory. Responsibilities:
- Enhance system performance and plan for future growth
- Manage IT infrastructure, including Windows servers, virtualization, and backups
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
- Collaborate with ITS team on system architecture
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in CIS from an accredited institution
- Required: AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure certifications
- Required: Microsoft Certification
- Preferred: VMware or Nutanix certification
- Required: Valid U.S. Driver's License
- 7+ years of IT experience
- 5+ years of experience in Active Directory administration, including 1 year with Azure AD (Entra)
- 3 years of experience as a Cloud Engineer or Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
- Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure
- Intermediate-level expertise in cloud infrastructure
- Experience migrating on-premises compute to cloud infrastructure
- Proficiency in configuring, installing, and maintaining hardware/software for physical and virtual environments (VMware or Nutanix), and Windows 10 desktops/laptops
- Familiarity with server hardware (chassis, storage arrays, backup systems)
- Extensive experience with Linux, clustering, Active Directory, SAN, high availability, SCCM/MECM, system monitoring, and PowerShell scripting
- In-depth knowledge of securing systems with SAML, multifactor authentication, and CIS/NIST standards
- Proficiency with MS 365, internet browsers, LAN/WAN, enterprise WiFi, VMware, and storage technologies
- Knowledge of Google, Azure, or AWS compute, data sources, security technologies, and cloud infrastructure
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
