RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop automations and leverage DevSecOps tooling and practices to manage enterprise and mission IT infrastructure for Development, Testing, and Production environments
- Develop and engineer solutions leveraging cloud services and modern frameworks
- Ensure system security requirements are satisfied via advanced automations and DevSecOps best practices
- Assist in the design, evaluation, provisioning, configuration, and support of Application Performance Monitoring tools
- Research and architect security solutions for data exchange, integration, and secure single sign-on capabilities within the customers security domain
- Create and maintain instances with Chef Recipes and CloudFormation scripts, S3 Buckets, Load Balancers, and Auto-scale
- Support application customers by installing, maintaining, administering, and managing servers and network systems
- Perform installations and patching of operating system, security compliance, software installation, upgrades, configuration, and system backups
- Assist in the development of automation of manual tasks using appropriate tools and/or scripting languages. Ensure all systems are on an incremental and full system and data backup schedule
- Develop automation scripts to assist in the installation, deployment and monitoring of applications and servers throughout the environment(s)
- Troubleshoot, maintain integrity, and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
- Support day-to-day administration functions, including setting up, modifying, and deleting user profiles and accounts, facilitating onboarding with customer account requests, creating scripts, and configuring integration
- Document, track, and monitor technical issues to ensure timely resolution. Report on progress, issues, blockers, and mitigation plans
- Preparing server systems for ICD503 accreditation and perform IAVA resolution patching
- As needed, support relevant working groups and internal discussions, and provide technical guidance
- Provide solution designs to integrate tools into modern CI/CD pipelines:
- Guide the development teams to bring in new services and applications into the pipeline
- Helping troubleshoot as necessary
- Work through steps to automate installation of software components and products into the architecture
- DevSecOps Tool Integration:
- Guide integration of various tools for the DevSecOps process (GITLAB/GITHUB, SonarQube, Terraform, Python, Selenium, Artifactory, etc.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: - Bachelor's degree and ten (10) years of technical experience in the analysis, design, and test of complex IT systems or,
- Master's degree and eight (8) years of technical experience in the analysis, design, and test of complex IT systems
- Four (4) years of additional experience may be substituted for a degree Ideal Experience:
- Experience with cloud services
- Experience with installation, configuration, and administration of the Collibra Platform and associated services
- Experience with application and system life cycle management
- Experience with DevSecOps tools and processes
- Experience with Terraform and Python
- Experience with containerization services (Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift, etc.)
- Experience with developing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting cloud-based software solutions
- Technical experience and knowledge of distributed storage networks, routing and application messaging frameworks
- Demonstrated knowledge of analytical needs and requirements, query syntax, data flows, and traffic manipulation
- 4 to 6 Years of experience with Certification & Authorization processes (i.e., NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF)800-37, 800-53)
- Ability to write Infrastructure As Code (Needs to have experience with at least one of the following;
- Terraform or Bicep experience
- CloudFormation or ARM template experience
- Understanding or JSON and YAML file\data formats
- Understanding of IDEs (like VSCode or similar)
- Need to know Git (forks, branches, PRs)
- Need to have understanding of DevOps and CI/CD Processes
- Forks, Branches, Pull Requests
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, or civilian Federal Government Agencies experience
- Understanding of broad IT topics such as
- cloud (compute, services, storage, app development, etc.),
- networking, security (cyber, network, cloud, application, etc.),
- storage,
- compute,
- software development (code and methodology),
- system/application governance,
- data (management, analytics),
- etc.
- Current technical certification in at least 1 cloud-related discipline
- Technical experience and knowledge of distributed storage networks, routing and application messaging frameworks
