Job Description
Role Summary: Align Technology is seeking an experienced DevOps Team Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of motivated DevOps engineers, ensuring efficient and effective deployment and operation of our systems. This role requires hands-on experience in DevOps practices, cloud environments (preferably Azure), and a strong understanding of SDLC processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure and services using best practices.
- Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines and automation processes using tools like Atlassian Bamboo, GitLab, or similar.
- Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters (preferably EKS) and container-based technologies (e.g., Docker).
- Deploy and manage Databricks workspace and clusters using Terraform.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of production systems and services.
- Collaborate closely with development, operations, and quality assurance teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of applications.
- Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Monitor system performance and reliability; implement improvements as needed.
- Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience leading a team of DevOps engineers.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer.
- 3+ years of experience in a cloud environment, preferably Azure.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows system administration.
- Strong understanding of full-scale enterprise SDLC processes.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence) and CI/CD tools.
- Practical experience with container-based technologies (Docker) and Kubernetes (EKS preferred).
- Experience managing Databricks workspace and clusters using Terraform.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and security best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with SQL and modern SQL databases.
- Experience with version control systems, preferably Git (Bitbucket).
- Experience working in Agile environments.
