Job Title: Azure Solutions Architect

Job Summary:
Are you an innovative problem-solver with a passion for leveraging cloud technologies to revolutionize business processes? We are in search of an experienced Azure Solutions Architect to design and lead the creation of scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions on Microsoft Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective cloud solutions, supporting advanced analytics, AI/ML capabilities, and real-time insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Architectural Design:** Design end-to-end solutions on Azure, including ingestion, processing, storage, and consumption layers.
- **Pipeline Development:** Develop scalable and secure data pipelines utilizing Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other relevant services.
- **Modernization:** Lead the modernization of legacy data platforms to Azure, including the formulation of migration strategies and their implementation.
- **Data Models:** Create data models and architect data lakes and data warehouses to support BI, ML, and analytics use cases.
- **Governance and Security:** Implement data governance, security, access controls, and data quality frameworks.
- **Collaboration:** Partner with Data Engineers, Analysts, and Data Scientists to meet business requirements.
- **Guidance:** Provide architectural guidance and best practices for data lifecycle management, data cataloging, and metadata management.
- **Evaluation and Recommendation:** Assess and recommend Azure services and third-party tools based on project needs.
- **Mentoring:** Mentor junior engineers and review technical designs/code for quality assurance. - **Agile Practices:** Work within Agile/Scrum teams and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Required Qualifications:
- **Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field.
- **Experience:** 10-15+ years in data engineering or data architecture roles, with 3+
years focused on Azure.
- **Azure Expertise:** Deep knowledge of Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.
- **Programming Skills:** Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and optionally C#/Java.
- **Orchestration Tools:** Experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow).
- **Core Knowledge:** Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL/ELT, data lakes, real-time streaming, and batch processing.
- **Governance and Compliance:** Knowledge of data governance, privacy, compliance (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA), and IAM in Azure.
- **BI Tools:** Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik.
- **Certifications:** Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer Associate are a plus. Preferred Qualifications:
- **AI/ML:** Experience with AI/ML model deployment pipelines on Azure. - **Multi-Cloud:** Exposure to multi-cloud environments and hybrid data strategies.
- **DevOps:** Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Azure Resource Manager).
- **Regulated Environments:** Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., BFSI, Healthcare). Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
