Location: Hybrid – Jacksonville, FL (3 days onsite per week)
Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
🔧 Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Platform Engineer with a strong background in DevOps/DevSecOps, automation, and infrastructure management across hybrid cloud environments (GCP + AWS). The ideal candidate will be a hands-on technologist experienced in using Terraform, managing Kubernetes/Docker-based infrastructure, and streamlining compute/container image lifecycle workflows.
✅ Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage highly available and scalable infrastructure in hybrid cloud environments (GCP and AWS).
- Write advanced Terraform modules for Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) to enable automated and self-service deployments.
- Automate the lifecycle of compute and container images for use across environments.
- Design and maintain large server/Kubernetes environments with a focus on automation and self-service enablement.
- Collaborate with platform and development teams to ensure cloud-native best practices.
- Troubleshoot across infrastructure, networking, and application layers.
- Actively contribute in a fast-paced, agile, and evolving technical environment.
📌 Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, DevSecOps, or Cloud Platform Engineering in a hybrid cloud environment (GCP + AWS).
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform writing complex modules for automation.
- 3+ years of experience managing containerized image lifecycles (Docker, etc.).
- 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes at scale, in self-service or automated deployments.
- Proficiency in tools like Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins, Harness, Artifactory, Ansible, Cloud Deployment Manager, Splunk.
- Advanced experience working on GCP cloud.
- Strong skills in Linux OS administration (Windows experience is a plus).
- Strong problem-solving skills across systems, networking, and applications.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
⭐ Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI implementations.
- Experience configuring OS for automated server deployments (Linux/Windows).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience.
