Role Impact
Drive the modernization of cloud infrastructure, leading the transition from over-engineered lift-and-shift models to efficient cloud-native architectures. You'll define and implement enterprise-level cloud strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders and outsourced partners to ensure scalable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• Architect and lead enterprise cloud strategy across AWS and hybrid environments
• Oversee technical design for scalable, secure, cloud-native platforms
• Manage MSP/vendor relationships and performance across cloud ops
• Define cloud governance policies including DR, identity, and CI/CD practices
• Lead optimization of legacy environments and VMware transitions
Minimum Qualifications
• 7+ years in cloud architecture or hosting operations (including manufacturing preferred)
• Degree required (Bachelor's or higher)
• Admin-level AWS access experience (not documentation-only)
• Proven track record in managing hybrid cloud transitions and MSPs
Core Tech Environment
AWS (PaaS, IaaS) • Azure (basic exposure)
VMware • Terraform (IaC) • Jenkins / GitHub Actions (CI/CD)
Okta / IAM systems • Disaster Recovery (multi-region HA)
Cloud-native services (e.g., AWS Glue, Lambda) • Scripting/Automation (Python, Bash)
Preferred Skills
• Multi-cloud architecture experience (AWS + Azure)
• Strong executive presence; confident in vendor oversight
• Background in lean teams and dotted-line structures
