Scion Technology has been engaged to lead the search for a Senior DevOps Engineer on behalf of our client, a fast-growing and innovation-driven technology company. This is a full-time, opportunity based out of Dallas, TX.
This direct hire role is ideal for a DevOps expert who thrives in cloud-native environments and wants to play a pivotal role in infrastructure automation, CI/CD optimization, and platform scalability. You’ll work cross-functionally to shape the reliability and performance of modern applications in a collaborative, forward-thinking culture.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing and implementing automated cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines in Azure
- Managing CI/CD pipelines and driving continuous integration and delivery improvements
- Building and maintaining scalable, secure, and observable cloud environments
- Leading infrastructure automation efforts using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and scripting tools
- Supporting production systems, troubleshooting incidents, and ensuring platform reliability
- Collaborating with development, QA, infrastructure, and security teams
- Driving cost-efficiency, system uptime, and governance across environments
- Participating in cloud modernization and legacy system refactoring initiatives
What You Bring:
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Engineering
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (compute, networking, identity, monitoring)
- Deep experience designing and managing CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code and scripting (e.g., Terraform, ARM, PowerShell, or Python)
- Solid background in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Experience in production incident management and root cause analysis
- Strong communication skills and ability to mentor junior team members
- US work authorization (no sponsorship required)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Azure, Kubernetes, or DevOps-related certifications
- Familiarity with Agile and DevOps frameworks
- Experience with cost optimization and performance tuning at scale
Compensation: $110K annually in addition to our client's robust benefits package.
