AWS Cloud Engineer (Kubernetes & Terraform Expert)

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS services to design, implement, and optimize cloud-native infrastructure solutions. This role involves building and maintaining scalable, secure, and automated cloud environments while collaborating with development, DevOps, and security teams to drive cloud excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on scalability, security, and cost optimization.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize Kubernetes clusters (EKS preferred), including networking, security, monitoring, and scaling strategies.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for automated provisioning and configuration management.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines integrating Terraform, Kubernetes, and AWS for automated deployments.
- Monitor cloud environments using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or similar.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices, IAM policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and application deployment issues.
- Partner with developers, DevOps, and security engineers to deliver highly available and resilient cloud-native solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer in AWS environments.
- Strong expertise with AWS core services: EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation, Lambda, etc.
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes (EKS preferred) – deployments, services, ingress, scaling, RBAC, and Helm.
- Advanced proficiency with Terraform – modules, workspaces, state management, and enterprise usage.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, etc.).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or Go).
- Strong knowledge of networking, security, and monitoring in cloud environments.
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and microservices architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or SysOps Administrator.
- Hands-on experience with service mesh (Istio/Linkerd) or serverless (Lambda, Fargate).
- Familiarity with HashiCorp Vault, Consul, or other secret management tools.
- Background in FinTech, Healthcare, or other regulated environments is a plus.
