Job Description:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the processes and tools necessary to enable the rapid delivery of software products and services. You will work closely with software developers, system administrators, and other IT team members to ensure the systems and infrastructure are optimized for efficiency, reliability, and scalability. The ideal DevOps Engineer bridges the gap between IT operations and development.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain automation tools for deploying, monitoring, and maintaining software systems.
- Build and maintain Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
- Work with development teams to ensure systems are designed for reliability, scalability, and security.
- Develop and implement monitoring and alerting systems to ensure the health and availability of the infrastructure and applications.
- Automate configuration management and infrastructure provisioning using tools like Puppet, Chef, or Ansible
- Manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services to optimize cost, availability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to the infrastructure and applications
- Collaborate with other teams to identify and implement process improvements.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices related to DevOps.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field
- 2+ years of experience in a DevOps or CloudOps role
- Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, Puppet
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with IaaS (Terraform) implementing scalable cloud / On-prem based environments and systems; service-oriented architectures and microservices; deploying resilient, scalable, high-throughput systems.
- Experience with automation tools (e.g., Jenkins)
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
