Role Summary/Purpose:
We are seeking a skilled AWS Automation Engineer to join our compute engineering team. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining automated AWS cloud infrastructure and associated DevOps pipelines. The ideal candidate will have experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), configuration management, CI/CD processes, and deep knowledge of AWS services.

Essential Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Develop and manage automation scripts and tools to support cloud infrastructure lifecycle management, deployments, and monitoring (Javascript/Python).
- Automate application provisioning, configuration, and deployments using CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Github, Cloudbees).
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to define requirements and implement cloud-native solutions.
- Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with security policies, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements
- 3+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, etc.)
- Strong hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Proficient in at least one scripting or programming language (Python, Javascript, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with containers and orchestration (Docker, ECS, EKS, Kubernetes a plus).
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions in AWS.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
- AWS Certifications (DevOps Engineer).
- Experience with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, etc.).
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
Grade/Level: 09
The salary range for this position is
85,000.00 - 140,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements
- You must be 18 years or older
- You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
- You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
- You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
- New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
