Duties & Responsibilities
Establish a continuous improvement plan for Platform Operations, including technology reviews, root cause analysis, after action reports analysis and application portfolio reviews in order to ensure adequate operating environments for critical applications
Requirements
Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree plus 15years of experience in a related field
- 5 years’ experience in a software development or QA leadership role
- Outstanding people management experience (managed 20 + people including managers)
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Has relentlessly high standards (is never satisfied with the status quo)
- Highly developed mentoring and team building skills
- At least 5 years of hands-on technical experience
- Financial responsibility against a minimum $5M budget
- Highly developed negotiation, facilitation and consensus building skills
- Highly developed oral and written communication skills; strong presentation skills
- Hands on experience with test automation tools such as Silk or Selenium
- Hands on experience with open source automation tools such as Ansible or Puppet
- Hands on experience with modern monitoring tools such as Splunk, Nagios, CloudWatch or Prometheus
- Adept at conducting research into operational-related issues
- Outstanding problem-solving skills
