Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and high-performance applications.
- Design and implement RESTful web services to personalize user experiences.
- Engage in pair programming and participate in TDD within an agile framework.
- Ensure thorough validation of systems against requirements in partnership with BSAs and Product Managers.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
Skills
- Strong expertise in building scalable applications with considerations for state, session management, and concurrency.
- Proficiency in software development techniques, including patterns, principles, and processes.
- Advanced skills in developing RESTful services using Groovy, Java, Jersey, and Spring.
- Experience in a dev-ops environment with a focus on rapid functionality delivery.
- BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its products such as Data Flow and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with Machine Learning libraries and NoSQL data stores.
- Knowledge of open source software and experience with performance testing and tuning.
- Background in cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Hadoop.
- DevOps infrastructure experience with tools like Chef, Puppet, or OpenStack.
