Responsibilities
As our DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for
- Developing and implementing software continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines (CI/CD) using tools like GitLab, Jenkins, and others.
- Administering and managing our AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring its high availability, security, and performance.
- Implementing container orchestration services such as ECS and EKS.
- Collaborating with the software engineering team to define system requirements and influence system design.
- Automating and streamlining our operations and processes, setting up and administering tools for this purpose.
- Building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations troubleshooting.
- Participating in on-call rotations, demonstrating a problem-solving approach and providing tier-2 technical support.
- Ensuring critical resolution of system issues by using the best cloud security solutions to protect our data.
- Assisting with all stages of test data, from initial definition to final deployment, and post-production support.
- Conducting system tests for security, performance, and availability.
Qualifications
The successful candidate should possess the following qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar software engineering role.
- Proficiency in CI/CD, GitLab, Amazon Web Services, Cloud Infrastructure, ECS, and EKS.
- Knowledge of coding and scripting languages such as Python, Java, Ruby, and PHP.
- Experience with databases and SQL.
- Familiarity with open-source technologies and cloud services.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud services.
- Awareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principles.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage workload prioritization to deliver high-quality work products on time and within budget.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently.
