We’re looking for a skilled and proactive AWS DevOps Engineer to join a fast-growing fintech team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about building secure, scalable cloud infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in automating deployments, optimizing performance, and ensuring the reliability of our systems. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and maintain secure, cost-efficient AWS environments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Streamline deployment and monitoring processes to reduce manual overhead.
- Partner with development teams to enhance CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
- Support automated builds and deployments for Java-based microservices.
- Maintain clear documentation for infrastructure and operational workflows.
- Configure VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups.
- Manage load balancers, DNS routing, and TLS/SSL certificates.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot latency issues.
- Secure secrets and credentials using AWS Secrets Manager or Vault.
- Implement mTLS and secure service-to-service communication.
- Integrate with identity platforms like Cognito, Okta, or Keycloak.
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, PCI).
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps or CloudOps roles focused on AWS.
- Strong background in Java application support and cloud optimization.
- Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and Linux administration.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, Git, and containerization (Docker).
Preferred Qualifications:
- AWS certifications (DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
- Experience with ECS, EKS, or Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Agile workflows and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in-office per hybrid policy and collaborate with NYC-based teams.
