Agility Partners is seeking a Cloud Engineer (Kubernetes) to join one of our closest clients Services Infrastructure Team, which powers the daily operations and rapid growth of one of the most innovative brands in fast-casual dining. This position is a backfill and comes with a strong likelihood of extension and eventual conversion based on performance.
You’ll play a key role in shaping the future of digital and edge infrastructure, directly impacting this client's mobile ordering systems and restaurant operations. You’ll work closely with technical leadership to support multiple Kubernetes-based Proof of Concepts (PoCs) and contribute to a major edge compute modernization effort.
What You'll Be Working On:
- Supporting 3 critical Kubernetes-based PoCs:
- Integrating edge compute with our client's digital platform across restaurants
- Scaling Kubernetes solutions to support restaurant operations at the national level
- Helping reimagine mobile/web ordering systems with containerized infrastructure
- Defining the roadmap and implementation strategy to integrate restaurant operations with the broader digital ecosystem using GitOps and Kubernetes
- Collaborating with Dan Frederick (Tech Lead) and the broader engineering team on technical execution
- Contributing to modernization efforts across our client's infrastructure stack—including containerization and edge compute
- Working in a collaborative, agile environment with a close-knit and highly capable team
Must-Have Skills:
- 2–4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering
- Deep knowledge of Kubernetes
- Strong experience with Azure Cloud
- Terraform expertise
- Comfort with agile methodologies and cross-functional team collaboration
- Ability to tie technical work to broader business impact and revenue goals
- GitOps knowledge or interest (will become a bigger part of the role)
- Strong attitude, aptitude, and desire to grow—not looking for a unicorn, just a motivated and capable engineer
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience with Edge computing
- Background in the retail or food/restaurant industry
- Exposure to GitOps workflows and CI/CD pipelines
