Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS | Python | Hybrid x 1 Day Onsite in Orlando, Florida)
Optomi, in partnership with a large entertainment company, is seeking an experienced Cloud/DevOps Engineer to design and implement reliable, high-throughput, low-latency, scalable, and well-documented code that supports modern cloud infrastructure. The right candidate will collaborate across engineering, product, and data science teams to drive technical design, scalability, and performance improvements. The engineer will also provide mentorship and conduct code reviews, ensuring best practices are consistently applied.

Responsibilities of the Right Candidate:
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure components that are reliable, scalable, and efficient.
- Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, and partners to propose solutions across teams.
- Define low-level implementation details including data structures, class/function/code organization.
- Recommend and execute technical approaches to support architectural changes for scaling and performance.
- Identify opportunities to reuse or generalize existing services and implementations.
- Stay current on emerging technologies and best practices in software engineering and data management.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Conduct consistent, detailed code reviews on pull requests.
Experience of the Right Candidate:
- 5+ years of software development experience across diverse domains
- A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong hands-on experience in DevOps and building CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or GitHub).
- Advanced proficiency in Python/Bash.
- Deep expertise in AWS services (Lambda, ECS, Kinesis, S3, IAM).
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) frameworks such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Demonstrated ability in data management and distributed systems problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Networking expertise
- Experience with AWS CDK, CDKTF, or Pulumi
- Strong Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) background
- Experience with DataDog monitoring
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Airflow, DBT
