We are building a next-generation multi-tenant B2B SaaS platform on AWS, engineered for scale, security, and speed. Our polyglot stack blends Node.js/NestJS for product APIs and Python/FastAPI for data and ML services, backed by Aurora Postgres (+pgvector), Redis/SQS, OpenSearch, API Gateway, ECS/EKS, and S3.
Our competitive edge comes from institutionalizing AI-powered engineering — not as a customer-facing feature, but as an internal force multiplier. We embed AI agents and copilots into our SDLC to automate requirement-to-spec pipelines, code scaffolding, test generation, secure code reviews, migration playbooks, observability runbooks, and documentation — while ensuring SOC 2/GDPR compliance and tenant isolation (schema-per-tenant/RLS).
About the Role
As Solution & Data Architect, you will define and govern the application, integration, and data architecture for our AI-augmented, multi-tenant SaaS platform.
You must be hands-on from a development background — capable of writing production-grade code, building prototypes, and guiding implementation decisions. You’ll work closely with engineering leads to ensure the architecture you design is secure, scalable, and implementable in our fast-moving startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Be hands-on in building prototypes, coding, and guiding architectural implementation.
- Define application, integration, and data architecture for the SaaS platform.
- Design secure, scalable AWS-based solutions using ECS/EKS, API Gateway, S3, Aurora Postgres (+pgvector).
- Architect data pipelines, storage models, and embeddings search for AI features.
- Integrate Python/FastAPI ML services into the product ecosystem.
- Ensure SOC 2/GDPR compliance and enforce tenant isolation (schema-per-tenant/RLS).
- Collaborate with Director of Engineering and DevOps Lead to align architecture with AI-enhanced SDLC and deployment practices.
Requirements
- Must be hands-on from a software development background — capable of writing production-grade code in at least one backend language .
- MS in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (mandatory).
- 10+ years in software/data architecture for SaaS or cloud platforms.
- Proven expertise in AWS multi-tenant architecture.
- Strong experience with Aurora Postgres (+pgvector), Redis, OpenSearch.
- Demonstrated experience integrating AI/ML services into production systems.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS Solution Architect Professional or Data Analytics certification.
- Prior startup experience in designing and delivering large-scale SaaS products.
- Familiarity with event-driven, microservices-based architecture.
