Company Background
Our client is a financial services consulting firm specializing in stock-based equity compensation and other complex financial reporting and valuation services. They deliver impact rich engagements across three core practice groups: financial reporting, valuation services, and HR advisory.
The Position
The DevOps Engineer is central to the transformation from traditional data center infrastructure to a lean, cloud-native environment powered by automation, AI, and modern DevOps practices. They’ll work across multi-cloud environments using Crossplane and Pulumi (preferably in AWS) to build scalable, secure, and observable infrastructure. They’ll also collaborate with AI and product teams to integrate LLM technologies into our CI/CD pipelines and operational workflows.
This is a hands-on engineering role. Candidates should expect to write and review code during the interview process to demonstrate their technical depth and problem-solving approach.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and GCP using Crossplane and Pulumi.
- Build and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) pipelines to support scalable deployment of applications and data services.
- Collaborate with data engineering and analytics teams to optimize Snowflake environments for performance, cost, and security.
- Develop automation scripts and services using Python, TypeScript, Go, or Rust to support infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and remediation.
- Integrate LLM technologies into operational workflows (e.g., intelligent alerting, auto remediation, documentation generation).
- Partner with software engineers and product managers to ensure seamless deployment and observability of web and mobile applications.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and secrets management across environments.
- Drive continuous improvement in system reliability, performance, and developer experience.
- Contribute to the development of internal DevOps standards, reusable modules, and best practices.
Qualifications and Candidate Background
The ideal candidate will have:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure automation.
- Hands-on experience with Crossplane and Pulumi in at least one cloud environment (preferably AWS).
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript, Go, or Rust for scripting and automation.
- Experience managing and optimizing Snowflake environments.
- Familiarity with integrating LLMs into DevOps workflows or operational tooling.
- Deep understanding of CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and infrastructure as-code.
- Exposure to web and mobile application deployment pipelines.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Background check required.
