Job Description
How You Will Make an Impact / Job Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and develop solutions across Azure, with exposure to AWS and GCP.
- Work closely with clients to deliver outcomes aligned with Statement of Work (SoW) and Service Level Agreements (SLA).
- Architect, design, develop, deploy, and document new systems or maintain existing systems on cloud platforms based on specifications.
- Collaborate with Agile development teams to guide and influence design decisions for cloud enablement, migration, and infrastructure needs, promoting best practices and cost optimization.
- Engage with customers to understand use cases and operational needs; liaise with cloud vendors to translate technology roadmaps into actionable guidance.
- Ensure cloud security, compliance, and operational reliability in all solutions.
- Conduct audits on current cloud utilization and recommend optimization and security improvements.
- Act as a mentor and technical consultant for internal teams.
Desired / Preferred Skills
- Strong expertise in Azure IaaS and PaaS services; exposure to AWS and GCP is a plus.
- Solid understanding and implementation of DevSecOps frameworks.
- Ability to architect secure, scalable, cost-optimized enterprise solutions in the cloud.
- Hands-on experience with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, OCI) and microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux systems and shell scripting.
- Effective communication of cloud architecture and topology to clients.
- Strong grasp of resilient, scalable, high-performing distributed application design principles.
- Experience with automation, orchestration, CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Programming experience in Python, GoLang, Perl, VBScript is an advantage.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Fluentbit, Zabbix, Nagios).
- Proven ability to manage client expectations and delivery.
Years of Experience
- 10 years in DevOps roles.
Education & Certifications
- B.E / B.Tech, BCA, MCA or equivalent.
- Cloud DevOps certifications: Azure DevOps Engineer (preferred), GCP SRE Engineer.
(Candidates with strong Azure experience or recent Azure + multi-cloud exposure will be preferred over AWS/GCP-only profiles.)
Pay: The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $120,000 - $165,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.
Benefits: As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
