About this Role: Propensity DevOps bridges development and operations teams to automate and streamline the software development lifecycle, focusing on building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud infrastructure as code, and ensuring system reliability, security, and scalability. Key responsibilities include developing automation tools, monitoring performance, collaborating across teams, implementing infrastructure automation, and deploying software updates efficiently.. This role reports directly to our CEO, Sumner Vanderhoof.
Responsibilities:
- CI/CD Pipeline Management: Designing, building, and maintaining continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to automate code testing and deployment processes.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Automating the provisioning and management of IT infrastructure using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Cloud Environment Management: Managing and optimizing resources within cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Automation: Identifying and automating repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency, reduce bottlenecks, and accelerate software delivery.
- System Monitoring & Performance: Implementing and managing logging, monitoring, and alerting systems to track software performance, identify issues, and ensure smooth operations.
- Security: Implementing security best practices throughout the development lifecycle, including automated compliance checks and secure code deployment.
- Performing quarterly performance tests and keeping security documentation up to date.
- Collaboration: Fostering communication and collaboration between development, QA, and IT operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient delivery of software.
- Helping support and complete technical documentation for prospects and infosec.
- Configuration Management: Implementing and managing configuration management tools to maintain consistency and control across systems.
What you’ll need:
- 2+ years of recent experience in DevOps
- Kubernetes
- Azure Kubernetes Services
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration
- Monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK)
- Scripting and coding knowledge (e.g., Python, Bash, Ruby)
