CI/CD Engineer
Optomi, in partnership with a fast-growing AI and security technology client, is seeking a CI/CD Engineer to lead the charge in building and scaling a modern DevOps foundation across global teams.
This role is not exploratory—we’re looking for someone who has done it before and can hit the ground running. You’ll be responsible for owning the CI/CD strategy, execution, and optimization across the U.S. and India-based development and QA teams. If you’re someone who can say “this is how we do it” and not just “let’s talk about how to do it”, we want to hear from you.
What the right candidate will enjoy:
- Build scalable CI/CD pipelines from the ground up in a startup environment.
- Spearhead DevOps initiatives between U.S. and offshore teams.
- Automate everything you can while keeping the operational footprint lean.
- Partner with leadership (Security, QA, Development) to implement best practices.
- Influence tools, cloud platforms, and security protocols in a high-impact role.
Requirements and Skills of the right candidate:
- 3+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong hands-on experience with DevOps tooling (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab, etc.).
- Experience with automation in QA/testing environments.
- Background in cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS or GCP acceptable).
- Strong scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code experience (Terraform, etc.).
- Prior success in startup or fast-paced environments—able to act without waiting for direction.
- Experience collaborating with offshore/India-based engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement CI/CD pipelines to support development, QA, and production releases.
- Scale and optimize DevOps processes to work seamlessly across U.S. and India teams.
- Automate builds, testing, and deployment—reducing manual effort and increasing release velocity.
- Collaborate with Security and QA teams to enforce compliance and secure DevOps pipelines.
- Own the infrastructure and tooling decisions—whether it's GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab.
- Work closely with leadership (Robert, Brian, Justin) to drive DevOps strategy and execution.
- Ensure Infrastructure-as-Code practices are embedded in your delivery workflows.
- Build scalable, secure systems that allow distributed teams to collaborate efficiently—primarily in the Azure cloud or equivalent platforms (Alchemy, Akamai, etc.).
