Our client is seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support and optimize their public cloud environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code, DevOps tools, and cloud architecture, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing systems. This role plays a key part in maintaining operational excellence and driving automation across multi-cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain public cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform—building new modules, optimizing existing ones, and troubleshooting issues.
- Implement scalable, standardized, and observable cloud solutions to support application operations.
- Utilize DevOps tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jenkins to streamline CI/CD processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues while ensuring application reliability and minimal downtime.
- Follow ITIL best practices, including change, incident, problem, and service request management.
- Ensure compliance with security and governance standards, applying best practices for data protection and scalability.
- Design cloud environments that promote consistency, resilience, and risk reduction.
- Validate system requirements, perform QA, and optimize testing processes to ensure robust performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, stable software releases and modernize existing infrastructure.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience working in public cloud operations (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- 3+ years of experience using Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (module creation, maintenance, troubleshooting).
- Proven success in scaling and standardizing cloud infrastructure and improving system observability.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps toolsets such as Git, Bitbucket, Bamboo, and Jenkins.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to resolve complex cloud infrastructure challenges.
- Familiarity with ITIL operational processes (Change, Incident, Problem, and Service Request Management).
- Commitment to security, compliance, and system reliability.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a focus on driving operational improvements.
- Ability to identify process gaps, recommend creative solutions, and influence technical decisions.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and persuasively to technical and non-technical audiences.
