Job Title: Junior DevOps Engineer
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior DevOps Engineer to join our growing DevOps team. You will assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes to ensure smooth, reliable, and scalable software delivery. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for automation, cloud technologies, and modern DevOps practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for software applications.
- Assist in managing cloud infrastructure and deployment environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance, availability, and security issues.
- Automate routine operational tasks and improve deployment efficiency.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and other teams to ensure smooth application delivery.
- Document processes, infrastructure, and best practices for ongoing reference.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 0–2 years of experience in DevOps, system administration, or related roles (internships or academic projects acceptable).
- Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
- Scripting skills (Bash, Python, or similar).
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Exposure to monitoring and logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).
- Familiarity with security best practices in deployment and cloud environments.
