We are Seeking an highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (VDI Specialist) to design, deploy, and optimize secure virtual desktop environments (VDI) in AWS GovCloud or similar high-compliance regions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices, ensuring scalable, reliable, and compliant environments. This role involves close collaboration with Security, IT, and Compliance teams to deliver production-ready systems that meet strict organizational and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement secure, scalable VDI solutions within AWS GovCloud or equivalent environments.
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) templates using Terraform (Pulumi experience preferred).
- Optimize performance, reliability, and end-user experience for VDI environments.
- Collaborate with Security, IT, and Compliance stakeholders to align solutions with organizational policies.
- Create comprehensive documentation and provide knowledge transfer to internal teams for ongoing support and scaling.
Required Skills
- Senior-level (Level 4) expertise in DevOps and cloud infrastructure engineering.
- Proficiency in Terraform for building, managing, and scaling cloud environments.
- Strong experience delivering secure, production-ready cloud systems in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with security and compliance leads.
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud deployments.
- Familiarity with Pulumi or similar IaC frameworks.
- Experience implementing VDI solutions in regulated industries (government, defense, healthcare, or finance).
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, NIST 800-171, and DFARS.
- Strong communication and documentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
