Responsibilities
Kforce has a client in Jacksonville, FL that is seeking a skilled Cloud/Telephony Engineer to join their team. This role will play a critical part in supporting both our Azure cloud infrastructure and legacy telephony systems. As we prepare to implement a new telephony solution in 2026, this position offers a unique opportunity to influence future architecture and strategy. Key Responsibilities:
- Cloud Engineer will design, build, and maintain Azure cloud architecture
- Manage and support legacy telephony systems
- Collaborate with Azure Engineering Services to ensure secure and scalable cloud solutions
- Configure and troubleshoot VPN connections (S2S and P2S)
- Create and manage network security groups
- As a Cloud Engineer, you will implement and maintain Azure Backup infrastructure to ensure daily server backups
- Migrate on-premises virtual machines to Azure
- Use PowerShell and Azure CLI for internal resource deployment and troubleshooting
- Support development and deployment of Azure solutions including IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS
Requirements
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Azure
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer in a hybrid environment
- Experience with cloud migration and backup strategies
- Strong understanding of network security and VPN configurations
- Familiarity with telephony systems and willingness to support legacy infrastructure during transition
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell and Azure CLI
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
