Role Summary
- Seeking a hands-on Senior AWS Engineer / Infrastructure Lead to design, build, and manage AWS infrastructure for a large-scale modernization program.
- The role involves leading the end-to-end infrastructure stream — defining scope, managing sprints, guiding onsite/offshore teams, and ensuring reliable deployments and production support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead AWS infrastructure delivery across design, automation, and deployment.
- Architect serverless/event-driven solutions using Lambda, ECS Fargate, Step Functions, and Event Bridge.
- Manage multi-region setups (Aurora Global DB, S3 CRR) for high availability and resiliency.
- Automate provisioning via Terraform/EAC and build CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Spinnaker).
- Implement monitoring and observability with CloudWatch, Datadog, X-Ray, and Splunk.
- Ensure security best practices across IAM, KMS, Secrets Manager, and VPC design.
- Collaborate with Mainframe SMEs to modernize legacy logic into AWS-native workflows.
- Document architecture, DR plans, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills
- 10 years in Cloud Engineering (3+ years in AWS).
- Strong with AWS (Lambda, ECS Fargate, Event Bridge, Aurora Serverless, MWAA).
- Expertise in Terraform (EAC), CI/CD automation, and HA/DR design.
- Proficient in Python or Java for data/workflow development.
- Deep knowledge of AWS security and networking.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Airflow/MWAA, Mainframe modernization, or Mastercard/Visa IPM.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum environments.
