$115-125k depending on experience
We are seeking an AWS Platform Engineer to join our client’s innovative cloud engineering team supporting healthcare technology initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in AWS services, containerized environments, and CI/CD pipelines, particularly in support of cloud-based test automation frameworks.
You will collaborate closely with test automation teams to build and maintain scalable, reliable, and observable cloud-native environments. Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience in a related field, such as Cloud Administration/Engineering, DevOps, etc., demonstrating experience with cloud provisioning, cloud services setup, integration of applications with cloud services, hosting applications, operating system setup, troubleshooting, etc.
- Demonstrated experience working with and setting up AWS services and managing/hosting cloud environments (EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS/ESK, IAM, etc.)
- Proficiency in Python and/or similar coding language.
- Experience with container orchestration and container lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and integrating test automation into pipelines.
- Experience with Linux-based systems in cloud environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, analyze, and document processes.
- Gather business and technical requirements.
- Participate in the development of cloud and on-prem environments.
- Design, develop, and define system requirements.
- Support infrastructure to ensure reliability and scalability.
- Assist in building infrastructure.
- Work with project/application teams to troubleshoot and address issues.
- Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for provisioning.
- Utilize Python for scripting and running backend SDKs on AWS.
- Develop runbooks in portal 3 using Python SDK on AWS.
- Perform basic Bash scripting and understand Linux operating systems.
- Host applications on AWS and understand cloud service interactions.
- Use JIRA for ticketing and Confluence for documentation.
- Demonstrate soft skills and experience in support work.
- Apply system engineering concepts for integrating applications with cloud services.
