Akkodis is seeking an
AWS Cloud Engineer for a
Contract with a client in
Las Vegas, NV. You will design and manage AWS cloud infrastructure, including VPC, EC2, EKS, and security services, while implementing automation through Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
Rate Range: $46/hour to $50/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
AWS Cloud Engineer Job Responsibilities Include
- Design, implement, and manage AWS cloud infrastructure including VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, and security services.
- Configure and maintain advanced networking solutions such as AWS Transit Gateway and Direct Connect for hybrid connectivity.
- Implement observability and monitoring using CloudWatch, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry for proactive alerting and telemetry.
- Automate infrastructure deployment and management using Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and scripting (Python/Bash).
- Manage container orchestration with Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio service mesh for traffic management and security.
- Ensure security compliance through patching and vulnerability remediation in cloud-native and containerized environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (master’s preferred).
- 6–8 years of hands-on experience in AWS cloud engineering and automation.
- Advanced networking expertise with AWS Transit Gateway and Direct Connect for hybrid connectivity.
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).

Pay Details: $46.00 to $50.00 per hour
