About the Role
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong background in cloud infrastructure management, automation, and CI/CD implementation. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), along with a solid understanding of containerization, orchestration, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams (developers, architects, QA, and security engineers) to design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and high-performing systems in a multi-cloud environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Manage and automate containerized environments using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS, GKE).
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize cloud infrastructure using CloudWatch, Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack.
- Implement security best practices for cloud environments including IAM policies, VPCs, firewalls, and encryption standards.
- Perform cost optimization and resource utilization analysis across multi-cloud setups.
- Manage application deployment, load balancing, and scaling strategies for high availability.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth build, deployment, and release processes.
- Participate in incident management, root cause analysis, and performance tuning activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a DevOps Engineer in production environments.
- Expertise in AWS Services — EC2, S3, VPC, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, RDS, etc.
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) — Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, GKE, BigQuery, Stackdriver, etc.
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, CircleCI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Hands-on knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, GKE).
- Solid understanding of Linux/Unix administration, networking, and system performance tuning.
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, Bash, or Shell.
- Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, etc.).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, cloud security, and cost optimization best practices.
Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
- Experience with multi-cloud architecture or cloud migration projects.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture and service mesh (Istio, Linkerd).
- Familiarity with serverless computing (AWS Lambda / Google Cloud Functions).
- Exposure to database management (RDS, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Cloud SQL).
- Certification in AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
