Job Description
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support cloud infrastructure, CI/CD automation, and platform reliability initiatives for Mastercard. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in AWS cloud services, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and deployment pipelines, with a focus on scalability, security, and operational excellence.
Required Skills
- 8+ years of overall IT experience with strong focus on DevOps / Cloud Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EC2, S3, IAM, Lambda, CloudWatch, and VPC
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS)
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
- Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Understanding of networking, security, and cloud best practices
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using industry-standard DevOps tools
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure to support highly available and scalable applications
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance
- Collaborate with development, security, and architecture teams to streamline deployments and releases
- Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and fault tolerance across environments
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues
- Enforce best practices for cloud security, compliance, and access management
- Maintain documentation for DevOps processes, runbooks, and system architectures
