Job Title: Azure Cloud Engineer
2 Openings - 1 mid-level, 1 senior-level
Location: Hybrid in Seattle, WA (2 days onsite)
Duration: 6 month contract to hire
Job Description:
These Azure Cloud Engineers will join a team of three other cloud engineers driving a large-scale migration of over 800 on-premises workloads into Azure. This role involves collaborating with various university departments and business units—including Advancement, Colleges, Facilities, and Student Information Systems—to plan and execute application migrations. You’ll work closely with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions, provide technical guidance, and contribute to building a culture of innovation within the team. Additionally, you’ll help optimize Azure landing zone configurations and champion best practices for cloud adoption.
Requirements:
- Azure Cloud Engineering experience (Azure Migrate, Azure Native Solutions, Azure Monitoring, Azure Networking including ExpressRoute)
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows stack (SQL databases, VM technology)
- Proven experience migrating on-prem workloads to cloud-native solutions, including lift-and-shift strategies
- Familiarity with Azure landing zone architecture
- Customer-facing experience, working directly with business units on migration efforts
- Ability to act as a change agent—innovative, forward-thinking, and a motivator for team transformation
