We're seeking a Cloud Engineer to support a mission-critical U.S. Air Force program focused on command-and-control operations across air, space, and cyber domains. This role supports a high-visibility operations center responsible for ingesting, analyzing, and distributing real-time intelligence data worldwide.
You’ll work alongside engineers, administrators, and cybersecurity teams to build, automate, secure, and sustain cloud-based systems in development, test, and production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain virtual machine–based C2 systems across multiple environments
- Install, configure, and support mission applications on Windows and Linux platforms
- Implement cybersecurity monitoring and vulnerability remediation
- Develop infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads in Kubernetes environments
- Configure AWS resources for compute, storage, networking, and security
- Implement monitoring and alerting using AWS CloudWatch
- Troubleshoot cloud resources, VM issues, and CI/CD automation pipelines
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Collaborate with engineering, security, DevOps, and compliance teams to meet program objectives
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience OR Master’s with 7+ years
- (Certifications may substitute for degree; additional experience may substitute for education)
- 8+ years of experience in software development and/or C2 system support
- CompTIA Security+ or equivalent DoD IAT Level II certification
- Strong experience with Windows Server and Linux
- Experience installing and maintaining Command & Control systems
- Hands-on automation using Terraform, Ansible, and/or PowerShell
- Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity controls and remediation processes
- Working familiarity with AWS cloud services
- Experience with GitLab and CI/CD pipelines
- Kubernetes deployment experience
- Understanding of DevSecOps practices
- Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
