Aureon Consulting is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with strong, hands‑on experience in Terraform to support a major modernization effort for one of our valued clients. This opportunity is ideal for a senior-level engineer with deep knowledge of AWS, EKS, and service mesh technologies.
Required Skills & Experience
Core Technical Competencies
Terraform Development
- Extensive experience building and maintaining Terraform configurations using TypeScript (4+ years)
AWS / EKS Expertise
- Significant background designing and supporting AWS environments, with an emphasis on Amazon EKS (8+ years)
- Broad experience across AWS services such as EC2, EKS, ECR, S3, Cognito, and NLB (8+ years)
- Solid familiarity with the AWS Well‑Architected Framework (4+ years)
Service Mesh
- Proven ability to architect, deploy, and manage Istio or comparable service mesh solutions within EKS environments (4+ years)
Containers & Orchestration
- Experience working with Docker and microservices‑based architectures (6+ years)
- Skilled in creating and managing Helm charts for application packaging and deployments (6+ years)
Scripting & Automation
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Python (6+ years)
- Extensive background building CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions (8+ years)
Cloud Infrastructure & Security
- Deep understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and SSL/TLS (8+ years)
- Experience implementing and maintaining security best practices in AWS environments (6+ years)
- Background with configuration management and orchestration platforms (8+ years)
Additional Qualifications
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.) are highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style
- Experience contributing within Agile delivery teams
- Prior experience supporting large‑scale or complex technical initiatives
