Cloud Engineer – Developer Experience (Remote, U.S.)
Excludes: AL, AR, DE, IA, LA, SC
Samsung is looking for a Cloud Engineer to drive Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and Kubernetes initiatives across multiple cloud accounts and regions. You’ll build scalable, automated cloud deployments using Terraform, Terragrunt, and Ansible, and help standardize best practices across teams.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and maintain Terragrunt/Terraform structures across accounts, regions, and environments.
- Refactor legacy stacks and migrate resources/modules between state files with minimal downtime.
- Build and manage Kubernetes workloads using Helm, Kustomize, or Tanka for multi-cloud deployments.
- Write and maintain Ansible playbooks/roles at scale.
- Plan and coordinate IaC rollouts across teams and environments.
- Collaborate with DevOps, architects, and business teams to enforce security, compliance, and best practices.
Required Skills:
- Terraform / Infrastructure-as-Code (including Terragrunt)
- Kubernetes (StatefulSets, Helm, multi-cloud deployments)
- Linux administration (RHEL, CentOS, Rocky, Ubuntu)
- Python or Golang scripting
- CI/CD & GitOps (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
- Cloud experience (AWS or multi-cloud)
Nice-to-Have:
- Ansible at scale
- HashiCorp Vault / secrets management
- Cloud-init image creation and automated software installs
