The Team
Deloitte’s Technology & Transformation practice helps clients unlock value buried deep within data and cloud technologies. Our global network provides strategic guidance and implementation services to help companies manage complex IT environments, convert data into actionable insights, and generate an insight-driven advantage. We leverage next-generation cloud technologies, including GCP, Kubernetes, and automation, to deliver innovative solutions at scale.
Your Work Profile
As a Senior Consultant / Manager in our Engineering practice, you will build and nurture positive working relationships with teams and clients to exceed expectations. You will deliver high-quality work products within defined timelines and mentor junior team members. You will collaborate with onsite/offshore teams to translate functional requirements into scalable GCP DevOps solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement GCP Landing Zones and multi-account cloud architecture.
- Provision and manage GCP resources using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager, Ansible).
- Configure auto-scaling, auto-provisioning, and optimize resource utilization across GCP services (Cloud Functions, App Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL).
- Implement branching strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices deployments (Helm charts, Kubernetes manifests).
- Set up monitoring, logging, and observability using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, and integrated alerting.
- Automate infrastructure tasks using Shell, Python, PowerShell, YAML/JSON, and maintain version-controlled deployment scripts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on cloud governance, security, and compliance (IAM policies, encryption, audit logging).
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and retrospectives; support team training and knowledge management.
Must-Have Skills / Experience
- 3–6 years of hands-on experience in GCP DevOps, CI/CD, and cloud automation.
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager, Ansible).
- Experience with multi-account cloud environments, landing zones, and auto-scaling architectures.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Shell, Python, PowerShell, YAML/JSON.
- Hands-on experience with GCP Cloud Native Services (Cloud Functions, App Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL).
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes deployments, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting tools in GCP.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Desired Qualifications
- 5+ years in DevOps or related roles.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools, Git, and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker & Kubernetes.
- Relevant certifications such as Google Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer.
- Exposure to security, compliance, and cloud governance practices.
- Agile/Scrum experience and strong problem-solving skills.
