Specialist, Technical Scrum Lead

EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:
- Client Technology (CT) - focuses on developing new technology services for our clients. It enables EY to identify new technology-based opportunities faster and pursue those opportunities more rapidly.
- Enterprise Workplace Technology (EWT) – EWT supports our Core Business Services functions and will deliver fit-for-purpose technology infrastructure at the cheapest possible cost for quality services. EWT will also support our internal technology needs by focusing on a better user experience.
- Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents, detects, responds and mitigates cyber-risk, protecting EY and client data, and our information management systems.
The opportunity
The Technical Scrum Lead, Senior Specialist is responsible for leading Agile development teams, ensuring seamless execution of sprints and driving high-quality software delivery. This role involves coaching teams on Agile best practices, resolving roadblocks and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to align technical execution with business objectives.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives, while coaching teams on Agile best practices to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define sprint goals, prioritize backlog items and ensure smooth execution of development activities within Agile frameworks.
- Act as a bridge between business and development teams, resolving technical and operational blockers to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Track Agile metrics such as velocity, cycle time and burndown rates, using data-driven insights to drive continuous improvements in team performance.
- Work closely with software engineers, architects and DevOps teams to refine user stories, ensure technical feasibility and optimize development workflows.
- Lead Agile maturity initiatives within the organization, driving adoption of Agile methodologies across teams and improving Agile execution frameworks.
- Foster strong relationships with QA, DevOps and UX teams to ensure seamless integration of testing, deployment and user experience improvements within Agile cycles.
- Guide junior Scrum Masters and development team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and professional growth within Agile teams.
- Support key digital transformation projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and driving innovation through Agile methodologies.

To qualify for the role, you must have
- Experience in Agile project management, Scrum Master roles, or technical leadership in software development.
- Bachelor’s degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong expertise in Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe frameworks, with a deep understanding of Agile principles and best practices.
- Scrum Master (CSM, PSM) or SAFe certification preferred.
- Hands-on experience with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or other Agile project management tools.
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Be highly flexible, adaptable, and creative.
- Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
