What Will You Be Doing
We are seeking a hands-on DevOps Engineer who will own CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and production releases across AWS-hosted workloads. This role builds and maintains reliable deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps), automates SQL Server database releases, and implements safe rollout/rollback strategies for EC2 Auto Scaling environments. The engineer will also partner with engineering, security, and finance to drive cloud cost visibility and optimization through FinOps practices.
What Will You Need To Succeed
- Strong experience building Azure DevOps YAML CI/CD pipelines (multi-stage, approvals/checks, variables/templates, release controls).
- Strong hands-on AWS deployment experience, especially EC2, Auto Scaling, and ALB.
- Strong AWS CloudFormation experience designing and operating IaC stacks/templates in production.
- Strong SQL Server deployment automation experience (scripts plus SSDT/DACPAC).
- Strong Docker experience (builds, troubleshooting, CI integration).
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python (AWS CLI and SQL automation).
- Production mindset: repeatability, logging, error handling, and operational documentation.
Production Ownership & After- Hours Expectations
- Serve as the primary Release Engineer responsible for executing and overseeing all production releases.
- Occasional after-hours work is expected for scheduled release windows, critical changes, and post-release monitoring (aligned with the primary work schedule above).
