Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Azure Cloud Engineer to lead DevOps operations, administer Azure cloud services, and design scalable cloud architectures. In this role, you will build CI/CD pipelines, manage infrastructure as code (IaC) with Terraform, optimize cloud resources, and collaborate with development teams to ensure robust, secure, and efficient cloud environments. Ideal for a seasoned professional with deep expertise in Azure ecosystem, DevOps best practices, and enterprise-scale architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and architect Azure-based solutions, including multi-tier applications, hybrid cloud setups, and high-availability infrastructures aligned with business needs.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins for automated builds, testing, and deployments.
- Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM templates, and Bicep to provision and orchestrate Azure resources like VMs, AKS, App Services, and databases.
- Administer Azure services including Virtual Networks, Storage Accounts, Azure AD, Sentinel, and monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics) for performance, security, and cost optimization.
- Ensure security compliance with Azure Security Center, RBAC, and policies; conduct audits, vulnerability assessments, and disaster recovery planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (development, operations, stakeholders) to migrate workloads to Azure, troubleshoot issues, and drive DevOps cultural adoption.
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs using Azure Cost Management, FinOps practices, and right-sizing recommendations.
- Mentor junior engineers, document processes, and contribute to strategic cloud roadmap planning.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- 10-12 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, with at least 7+ years focused on Microsoft Azure.
- Proven expertise in Azure services (AKS, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, etc.) and hybrid/multi-cloud environments.
- Strong proficiency in Terraform for IaC, Azure DevOps pipelines, and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), or equivalent; Terraform Associate preferred.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of delivering large-scale projects in Agile/Scrum environments.
