Role Overview
We are partnering with a public-listed global autonomous driving technology company to hire a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer based in San Jose.
The company operates at commercial stage and has autonomous driving deployments across multiple international markets, holding driverless permits in several key regions globally. They are building next-generation cloud infrastructure platforms to power large-scale AI training, simulation, and data-intensive autonomous driving workloads.
What You'll Be Working On
- Architect and build scalable PaaS and IaaS platforms supporting company-wide engineering teams
- Design and develop high-performance distributed systems for large-scale data storage, processing, deep learning training, and simulation
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks across compute-intensive workloads
- Develop profiling, monitoring, and introspection tools to enhance system observability and reliability
- Support cloud-native platform evolution across Kubernetes-based infrastructure
Ideal Background
- 3+ years building scalable distributed systems in AWS or major cloud environments
- Strong experience in cloud-native architecture and compute-intensive services
- Proficient in one or more of: C++, Python, Go, Scala, Java
- Hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, microservices
- Background in large-scale data platforms, AI infrastructure, or simulation platforms is highly valued
Compensation
- Base: US$ 143,000 – US$ 197,000 (depending on level and experience)
