Network Cloud Engineer

Position Overview
The Network Cloud Engineer designs and deploys cloud and hybrid IT solutions, integrating on premises networks with cloud environments. The role configures servers and storage, ensures smooth end to end operations, documents solutions, and provides customer training and ongoing support. Strong technical skills, clear communication, and the ability to mentor others are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, configure, test, and deploy cloud and hybrid network solutions
• Design, configure, test, deploy, and monitor identity management and MFA solutions
• Provide subject matter expertise, training, and mentorship to peers
• Troubleshoot networking issues including routing, performance, and QoS
• Stay current with emerging technologies and contribute to evaluations
• Configure and support Entra ID, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and related technologies
• Resolve escalated issues and tasks from NOC level 2 technicians
• Create, maintain, and update technical documentation for cloud solutions
• Conduct on‑site visits to troubleshoot or repair networking equipment
• Build cloud infrastructure including Azure virtual machines, Azure VPNs, Entra ID, and Microsoft Intune
Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field, or five or more years of relevant experience
• A+, Security+, and Network+ certifications required
• Checkpoint CCSA, MCSE, AZ‑104, and AZ‑700 certifications highly preferred
• Cisco certifications such as CCNA, CCNE, or CCDA are a plus
• Palo Alto PCNSA required; PSNSE preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Experience with advanced cloud technologies
• Strong networking knowledge including IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, port aggregation, DNS, DHCP, RDP, LDAP, Palo Alto, and Cisco
• Experience with MFA, SSO, and federated identity technologies
• Experience with SonicWall, Palo Alto, and UniFi networking equipment
• Experience with Cisco, Meraki, or HP networking equipment
• Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper‑V
• Ability to troubleshoot server‑based software issues involving Windows Server 2016 and newer, Active Directory, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, PowerShell, antivirus solutions, and enterprise backup tools
• Experience with Microsoft Hyper‑V, VMware ESXi, or Proxmox
• Some familiarity with Linux server environments
• Ability to troubleshoot escalated identity and MFA issues
